My Comfy Reading Place

I wanted to invite you in to My Comfy Reading Place. It's a little corner in my bedroom I escape to to read my favorite magazines and design books. My bookcase is filled with books from my undergraduate studies in Interior Design and my masters in Architecture and I've added some of my favorite design books along the way. One of my favorites shown here is Barry Dixons 'Inspirations'. I actually got to meet him in Boston and he even signed the book!

Alternatively, I can be found cozying up to a good read as shown above, Oh Crap, Potty Training.

  • The bookcase is from Restoration Hardware Baby & Child.
  • My olive, velvet tufted reading chair is from Z Gallerie.
  • The iron, round nesting side tables are from Restoration Hardware.
  • My solid glass reading lamp is from Restoration Hardware. I love the way it looks so timeless, classy and luxurious.
  • The little marble buddha I picked up at the Brimfield Antique Show in MA.
  • The iron decorative ball is from an antique store in Napa.
  • I bet you didn't know I collect vintage medicine bottles, did you? This cobalt blue one is one of my favorites.

I hope this gives you a little inspiration for your own bedroom escape. If only it would be mine again one day, minus a baby and toddler on my lap! If you have any questions on where I got pieces, sizes, colors, etc., please comment below or email me at

What is your favorite room in your house? Would love to hear a little bit about it!

Love, Lynn
