POV: Day in the Life at Parsenn Mtn in Davos, Switzerland 🇨🇭

POV: you’re in literal winter wonderland with your family friends, husband and kids at Parsenn Mountain in Davos, Switzerland.

Everything is perfect, but Mama needs some grown-up time…

Your Mission...

how to enjoy a (mostly) kid-free day on a family vacation in davos, switzerland.

When you escape the kids for a quiet lunch spot and the ski school descends on you building snowmen 🫠

the Morning

  • Enjoy a family breakfast, European style, at the hotel

    • We stayed at the Precise Tale Seehof hotel, who laid out fresh fruits and local pastries, meats and cheeses, homemade honey and breads overlooking Jakobshorn mountain across the street. Of course my husband loves this ginormous fresh breakfast being European, he misses it when we’re back home in SF!

  • Drop the kids off at Davos Ski school for a day of skiing Parsenn mountain

    • Here are Tudor and Aura with their instructors, Aura’s instructor was the most iconic militant Swiss ski instructor, she had us laughing so hard 😅

  • Hit the mountain with your friends to snowboard and ski the longest run ⛷️

    • When there is enough snow, you can make the 12km Parsenn descent from the summit of Weissfluh to Küblis.

the Afternoon

  • Partway along the Parsenn run we pulled off the path for some lunch at this secluded little chalet called Schiferstall in the middle of nowhere

  • We devoured charcuterie, mulled wine and Bailey’s coffee

  • And then a ski school descended on our quiet kid-free zone and decided to build snowmen and have a snowball fight right behind us 😅 the temptation to behead that snowman was strong!

  • Once we were fuelled up and merry, we snowboarded some more back to the resort to pick up the kids from snow school

the Aprés

  • After we collected the kids and got freshened up from a day on the slopes, we joined back up with our friends and went to dinner at an exclusive restaurant called La Muña (with a reservation we’d made months in advance!)

  • The food was unbelievably good (just drooling look back at this A1 Wagyu) and the views were gorgeous, looking out over the mountains.

  • The kids were making us laugh sitting at the bar - did you ever pretend your mocktails were hard cocktails like the adults had when on vacation?! 🍹

Hope this post inspires you to take a day off for yourself on your next vacation! I’ll be dreaming about this kid-free day for quite some time… Check back soon for my ultimate guide to taking a snowsports vacation with young kids in Davos 🇨🇭

yours in Aprés 🍹

Love, Lynn
