24 hours in Tahoe with young kids!

Today I’m sharing what the kids and I got up to in Tahoe in 24 hours!! If you’re planning on visiting Tahoe, Northstar California & Squaw Valley Ski Resort (now known as Palisades Tahoe) and are looking for family fun activities that are suitable for young children… keep reading

We love visiting Tahoe with the kids, there is always so much to do. Whether you’re visiting Lake Tahoe in the summer or Skiing in the winter months, you will not be disappointed!

It’s roughly a 3 & 1/2 hour drive from where we live in Marin, California (North of San Francisco) But it did take us 6 hours to get there when we left at 1pm on Friday! Mom & Dad deserved a well earned margarita when we arrived! 🙈

What we got up to in Tahoe;

9 hole golf & riding golf carts⛳

POV perks of golfing with kids🏌️‍♀️... they may slow you down, but you always have a designated driver! 🥂

Seriously though, it’s so fun to see them driving, putting and getting a hole in one! 🏁

So dying to know, have you ever golfed with your parents or your own kids? I haven’t except with my kids, Grew up in the snow so we did tons of skiing snowshoeing and snow camping!

Trying to get two kids smiling at the camera…impossible!!

Bike riding to Squaw Valley

We grabbed our bikes and headed to Squaw Valley. Tip 👉 We rented the bikes at Resort at Squaw Creek, where we stayed, but they did not have bikes with training wheels, so she had to ride in the back in the carrier. If Mama could of fit I would of happily joined her in the back😂

The ride took us by a beautiful field where we got the watch the sunset and was about a half an hour long. As soon as we arrived we headed straight to candy shop to refuel! 🍬🍭

We couldn’t resist stopping off at Fireside Pizza before heading to soccer golf! 🍕

Squaw Village has some cute stores, but a lot of them were closed until the winter season starts…which is today!

It snowed in Tahoe the day we left!!

Northstar Mountain

Northstar California is where we usually ski for the winter 🎿

Opening day for ski season is November 19th!! We can’t wait to hit the slopes again this year. But until then we headed to the The Ritz for a bite to eat, and played on the mountain. Where Aura found pine cones as big as her head!!

Sunset Soccer Golf

So as you can see I got a tonne of photos at soccer golf…not! It was so much fun trying to kick the soccer balls into the huge golf holes.

I can’t say that I successfully got any hole in ones though! haha.

We pre-booked our tickets online. It starts at 5pm when the golf course closes.

Its a great activity to wear the kids out before dinner, if you have any meals out planned😉
