Great activities for kid's Birthdays in San Francisco!

For a great fun-filled family day out this summer head over to the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco, or check out the Sky Star Ferris Wheel in Golden Gate Park!

We celebrated Tudor’s birthday with a trip to both and we had the best day! 🎡🦈🦎

The California Academy of Sciences

Top Tip 👉 Masks do still have to be worn around the building, even if you are vaccinated.

Top Tip 👉 Head over to the Junior Scientist Adventure exhibit. Your kids will be given a notepad and pencil to complete some activities and will get a certificate!

We was all dazzled by a gigantic window revealing the underwater haunts of eels, anemones, rockfish, and our personal favorites the little sea worms! (The kids found it hilarious trying to sketch them while they were bobbing in and out of their homes!)

SMILE!!! check out those pearly whites! the sharks, not ours 😉

It was fantastic learning about all the different sharks, eeek with teeth that big I hope we don’t ever catch one of those in the water! How incredible to see how HUGE the mighty Megalodon was!

A quick Trip to the RAIN FOREST anyone?

If you step inside this 4 story dome (Its enormous and takes up a third of the academy!!) You will feel like you have been transported to a real life rain forest. And I’m not just talking about the heat 😂 It’s filled with over 1,600+ live plants and animals! Aura was mesmerized seeing all the different butterfly’s flying around her, but her favorite was for sure this blue cockatoo!

When walking around Tudor spotted these cute green geckos with orange spots. We had to get a photo, their colors are so vibrant they looked like something out of a Disney film!

They have close to 100 exotic reptiles and amphibians which is great fun spotting them with the kids!

I was keeping my eyes open for some of the Theobroma cacao, the plant from which chocolate is made 🍫😋

It’s a great experience for the entire family. Watching 250+ birds flying freely around the dome was lovely!

Aura saying HI to the cutest african penguins🐧

A treat for the birthday boy at benihana

Our last visit for this jam packed birthday was Japan Town 😋

Tudor loved it when the chef at Benihana made the Flaming Onion Volcano. Watching the chef make all this AHmazing food got us all super hungry and ready to eat as much as possible!

We finished the day with a sweet treat of Mochi Donuts.
